Steven G. Handrick, CPA, CGMA, partner at Hawkins Ash CPAs, has been named chair of the 2016-2017 Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) Board of Directors.
Handrick has been a member of the WICPA since 1980, and, as an active member, served on the Institute’s Strategic Planning Task Force and Peer Review. He began his career in public accounting with Hawkins Ash CPAs in 1979. Prior to moving to Green Bay in 1988, he was manager of the accounting and auditing department of the firm’s Marshfield office. He recently completed a 12-year term as the firm’s Managing Partner.
The WICPA Board of Directors represents the membership, exercises leadership, participates in strategic planning, and approves the annual WICPA budget, bylaw amendments, selection of auditors, and other actions relating to organizational governance. The board consists of 15 members.
